Shout 85258 is a free confidential 24/7 text messaging support service for anyone who is struggling to cope. Autism is a lifelong disability which affects how people communicate and interact with the world. Without the right support or understanding, autistic people can miss out on education, struggle to find work and become extremely isolated. They have produced some tips for looking after your mental health if you are autistic.

Talking Therapies (IAPT)
The service provides help and support for people over 18 years who are experiencing mental health problems. These can include stress, low mood, anxiety, panic attacks, depression (including pre and post natal), obsessive compulsive disorder, phobias, post traumatic stress and eating difficulties (not severe).

Support at the practice for emotional wellbeing and mental health issues
You can get expert advice and guidance for emotional wellbeing and mental health issues right here at the practice. This service is for anyone over 18 who is registered with our practice. The GP will make a direct referral for you. Difficulties which can be supported include depression, anxiety, stress, social isolation, problems in relationships and physical health difficulties. Annual Physical Health Check at your local practice
If you 18 years and over and have a diagnosis of severe mental health problems such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder or psychosis then you may need to take extra care with your physical health. Having a health check means that any physical problems can be identified early and suitable interventions offered promptly.
We can help you with this by carrying out an annual health check.
